Gruner and Jahr

Gruner + Jahr is clearly expanding its position in China, and has been a shareholder in the Chinese BODA society since the end of 2006. This process included the consolidation of the four Rayli magazine titles that BODA used to supervise with those of G+J/CLIP (four magazines). This step provides G+J with the opportunity to further develop the country´s second-largest magazine portfolio with regard to circulation and turnover.

Rayli is the only Chinese magazine publisher to feature modern, original Chinese magazine brands, and the market leader within the women´s magazine segment. In addition to the top title RAYLI FUSHI MEIRONG, the portfolio comprises of the women´s title RAYLI YIREN, the title for young women, RAYLI XIANFENG, and China´s biggest living magazine, RAYLI JIAJU. Within the market of upscale Chinese women´s magazines, RAYLI FUSHI MEIRONG and RAYLI YI REN are clearly higher ranking than competitive titles such as "Cosmopolitan", "Elle", and "Vogue".

In addition to this, Rayli is setting trends as far as brand extension and development of new businesses in the new media sector is concerned. With rayli.com.cn, it maintains Asia´s leading women´s portal with six million visits per day.

With PARENTS/FUMU and FOCUS/XINSHIKE, G+J publishes two additional magazines that are mainly geared to modern Chinese readers in metropolitan cities such as Peking or Shanghai.
